Dear Families,
Happy springtime! In honor of this much anticipated season, we
decided to do some spring cleaning. (We also wanted to prepare for our Open House
this Sunday.) Breaking up into groups of two, we dusted, arranged, sorted, organized,
re-located and washed and dried anything that we thought needed to be spruced
up.
This was our second week of
dividing the class into three groups for mini-lessons
on punctuation, grammar and
figurative language. Fatima, Tonya
and Debbie are guiding us through the skills.
We’re having fun with geometry,
and our work on cells for our health
sciences unit is progressing. We enjoy
reading, “The Wizard of Oz” in
Spanish with Jessica, and our trip to Proctor’s for the Erie Canal production was informative and entertaining.
