Lower Elementary Newsletter - May 9, 2014

Dear RiverRun Families,

Friday will be the children’s fourth tennis lesson with Coach Neil.  He has volunteered to come both Tuesdays and Fridays for the remainder of the school year. The children have learned so much. Check the blog for pictures of the children having tennis lessons as well as other RiverRun experiences at riverruncommunitymontessori.blogspot.com.  Many of the Friday letters are posted there as well. 

                                 

The Class is taking a closer look at bugs.  We've been identifying the different parts of bugs, the differences between insects and spiders as well as the life cycle of an ant.  As the weather warms, we will have more opportunities to go outside and take a look at the bugs around the School. 

 

The children are working on their Authors’ Tea story.  The Elders continue to work on fractions.  We've started to add factions with mixed denominators. The remainder of the class is practicing division and grammar.
