Dear Families:

Today Kya is writing the Friday letter. We have been learning about the Adirondacks, and we are going to The Wild Center in the Adirondacks near Tupper Lake in New York State!  Some of the animals we researched for our animal projects will be there like the river otter researched by Abigail Poole.  All of us are looking forward to seeing the cute river otters.

I joined a poem war with Emma, Abigail, Maddy, and Grace, and I was the judge.  Abigail and Grace won 199 to 100.  The two girls, Abigail and Grace, wrote a poem about Africa, and they got a total of 199 points.  Maddy and Emma wrote one on secrets and their total was 100 points.  Our class has been learning about famous poems around the world.

We have finished The Science Fair Mystery!!!!! The blue team won, which was Abigail, Madeleine and Ben.  All of us are so happy it’s over.  I did a science project on how much fat is in sausage.  Our boards were on display with our experiments on them.  We also showed our parents the Montessori materials too.

Marc Chagall was a famous painter and made cool upside down bended paintings.  So as an art project we did paintings inspired by Marc Chagall.  Our paintings looked nice when we finished. We had a fun time doing them!

Enjoy your weekend!
