Wild and Wiley Turkeys

Last Wednesday, RiverRun students and siblings enjoyed a field trip to the Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center to learn about "wild and wiley turkeys", to take a hike looking for signs of animals, and to explore the discovery center.

Many thanks to our parent drivers and chaperones Nancy Adis, Teresa Foster, Debbie Proulx, and Denise Watso!

Our instructor Erin teaches us about turkey feathers, parts of a turkey's body, and a turkey's footprint.

Outside for a hike in the rain to look for animals signs.

SUCCESS!
Coyote scat. . .

 deer tracks. . .

and a mole ridge!

After the hike, the children were happy to go back inside to eat lunch and then explore the discovery center.
