Friday Letter - 05.04.2012

Dear River Run Families,

This has been an unusual week as we have had various children out sick throughout the week. I am hoping everyone is back healthy on Monday.

Our trip to Merry Hill was great even though the weather was on the damp side. The alpaca were beautiful and you could feel how much Linda and Rudy loved each animal. They had a story for each animal. During writing time the children wrote thank you notes to them with some great illustrations included. These trips we take with the children are so valuable, we are fortunate to be able provide these experiences to our children.

We are trying to wrap up our fundraiser for the Heart to Help campaign. The children want to raise $1,000. So far we have raised $671.00, we are trying to raise $329.00 more. Debbie has put together a beautiful collection of framed hearts the children painted. We are putting a picture of this in the local newspapers trying to get one person/family or a business to purchase it for the $329.00. The children will be in this picture (names not included), see the attached photo.

Correction: The name of the florist on Everett Road is Ambiance.
